How to undo a change or restore an earlier version
2 min · 4 steps
Short answer
Press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac) or click Undo last change in the chat. For older changes, open Versions at the top left, preview a version with the eye icon and click Restore. Daily backups are under ⋯ → Backups. Publish afterwards.
1Undo the last change
Press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac) while you're not typing in a box, or click Undo last change at the top of the chat. Ctrl+Shift+Z redoes it.
2Go back to an earlier version
Click Versions (the clock icon) at the top left. Click the eye icon on a version to look at it, then Restore this version. Restoring saves it as a new draft on top, so you can undo that too.
Versions lists every saved version; the eye previews one before you restore it. 3Restore a backup
If the version you need is no longer in the list, open ⋯ → Backups and click Restore on a daily or manual backup. Click Back up now before a big change to make your own restore point.
4Publish to put it live
Everything you change is saved as a draft first, so visitors keep seeing the previous version while you work. When you're happy, click the green Publish changes button at the top right (it says Go live the very first time). The message Your changes are live confirms it.
The green button only appears while you have unpublished changes.
