How to add, rename or delete a page

3 min · 5 steps

Short answer

Open ⋯ More tools → Pages. Click + Add page, give it a name and a short description, and click Create page. Delete a page with its trash icon. To rename, change the menu label in Brand & Navigation and ask the chat to change the address. Then Publish changes.

  1. 1Open the Pages panel

Click the ⋯ icon (More tools) at the top right of the studio and choose Pages.

The ⋯ menu holds Pages, SEO & Meta, Messages, Backups and Settings.
  2. 2Add a page

Click + Add page. Fill in Page name (for example Pricing), the URL (/pricing) and, if you like, What should this page be about?. Click Create page. The AI writes the page and links it in your menu; the button says Writing your page… while it works.

A new page needs a name and an address; the description is optional.
  3. 3Delete a page

In the same panel, click the trash icon on the page's row and confirm. The home page and the legal pages show a lock: they always stay on your site. Deleted by mistake? Press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac) or restore an earlier version.

Each page row has a trash icon; home and legal pages are locked.
  4. 4Rename a page

A page has three names, changed in three places: the word in the menu (Brand & Navigation → Navigation → Label), the big heading on the page (click it with Visual edits), and its web address. For the address, ask the AI chat, for example Rename the /news page to /announcements. The old address then forwards to the new one automatically, so old links and Google keep working.

  5. 5Publish to put it live

Everything you change is saved as a draft first, so visitors keep seeing the previous version while you work. When you're happy, click the green Publish changes button at the top right (it says Go live the very first time). The message Your changes are live confirms it.

The green button only appears while you have unpublished changes.

Good to know

  • Creating a page and renaming its address use AI edits; deleting a page is free.
  • A site can have up to 40 pages.
  • You can also just ask the chat: "Add a page about our gift cards".
