How to replace a photo on your website

Short answer
Turn on Visual edits, click the photo, choose Replace image… and pick a file from your computer. Click Apply, then Publish changes. Uploading your own photos is free.
1Turn on Visual edits and click the photo
In the studio, click Visual edits in the top bar, then click the photo you want to change. A card opens at the bottom of the preview with the photo's file name at the top.
Click the photo. Its settings card opens at the bottom of the preview. 2Choose Replace image…
Click Replace image… and pick a photo from your computer (JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 40 MB). It takes the old photo's place on the page.
In the same card you can set the Alt Text (a short description for screen readers and Google), the Width, the Aspect Ratio, the Corner Radius and the Crop Focus (top, center or bottom).
Replace image… is the first button in the card. 3Apply and publish
Click Apply. The new photo is saved as a draft; click Publish changes at the top right when you're ready for visitors to see it.
Apply saves the photo to your draft; Publish changes puts it live.
Good to know
- No photo of your own? Generate with AI… creates one from a description, and Edit this photo with AI can clean or blur the background, brighten it or extend it to fit. These use your AI-edit allowance.
- You can also send a photo through the AI chat: click + under the chat box, choose Upload Image, and say where it should go ("use this photo in the About section").
- There is no separate media library yet. Photos you upload are stored with your site and appear where you placed them; to use the same photo somewhere else, upload it there too.
- To remove a photo, click Remove image, then Click again to remove to confirm.
